Following a week’s worth of autism awareness activities, blue-clad students at Islip’s Wing Elementary School celebrated on April 13 by holding puzzle pieces as they strolled on a supportive schoolwide autism walk around the grounds.
“Autism is something close to our hearts here at Wing, and it is important for us to embrace the themes of acceptance and appreciation,” said Principal Christopher Smalley.
